Overview
The Supertech block guard is a computer-designed, CNC-machined 6061 aluminium insert that fills the gap between the cylinder walls and the outer block on Honda's open-deck D15/D16 SOHC engines. By supporting the top of the highly stressed cylinders it reduces bore flex and the deck cracking that open-deck blocks suffer under high boost or high compression, while still allowing coolant flow through critical areas to avoid destructive hot spots.
For anyone building a turbocharged or high-compression D-series single-cam engine who wants to keep the factory block reliable at power levels where the open deck would otherwise flex and crack.

InstallNot a bolt-on part - the block must be decked and the guard fitted by an engine machine shop, then the engine reassembled with a new head gasket.
This is the single-cam SOHC guard (BG-D15/D16) - confirm your block is a single-cam D15/D16, not the dual-cam JDM D16ZC, which uses a different guard (BG-D16ZC).

The returned product(s) must be in the original packaging, safety wrapped, undamaged and unworn. This means that the item(s) must be safely packed in a carton box for protection during transport, possibly the same carton used to ship to you as a customer.
